For many years there were so few records available. That continues to change with more records online. Let’s look at the Irish Estate Maps.
Today is turbulent spring weather day with thunderstorms, hail and wind predicted for a large region. I was thinking about how weather impacted our ancestors, not only as pioneers in the United States and Canada but also in the home country. We can weave weather related items into our family story if we do the research. Let’s look.

If you have an ancestor with the last name equivalent of Smith or Jones like my Sullivans and Cotters from Ireland, it become a bit trickier. With more records available online, all hope is not lost.
