As we remember those who have gone before us, pause this weekend to remember those who didn’t return from wars and the veterans that did. We owe them our freedom and the right to choose our life paths. Some of them never got the chance.
Spend time with a veteran or your family, visit the grave of a veteran or attending a Veterans Day program in your community. Another way to honor them is to spend time researching one of your ancestors who served. This weekend Findmypast is giving free access in honor of Veteran’s Day, November 8 -11. And for those who like to know more, here’s a link to a nice article about Veterans Day and its history. “For the veteran, thank you for bravely doing what you’re called to do so we can safely do what we’re free to do.”– author unknown
